NATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK

Posted by Really Rubbish on Monday 17 May at 12:40

Thousands of children are ditching their wheels for their shoes instead this week....are you one of them?

This week has been National Walk to School Week and thousands of children over the UK have been encouraged to walk to school rather than being driven to school so that they can learn more about road safety skills, get more active and of course it’s better for the environment as there won’t be as many cars on the road and less air pollution.

Join in the healthy fun especially if you live fairly close to school and most importantly make sure you get to school safely by being supervised by a parent or guardian – it will also be good for them too!
