RECYCLE YOUR MOVIE!

RECYCLE

If you went to see big hit films like Alice in Wonderland or Avatar at the cinemas or even watching it at home, you might have been given plastic 3D glasses to make these films even bigger and better!

We have found out that there were roughly 30 – 40 million pairs of plastic 3D glasses given out worldwide to watch these spectacular special effects films, although this could become a great problem to the environment..... but fear not, Really Rubbish have found a solution that could be better for the environment and also could save you some money!

Some cinemas in the UK are planning on reducing the price of a ticket to any customer recycling their glasses.  Customers at Odeon cinemas will buy glasses for £1 but get a discount each time the glasses are reused.  Vue Cinemas, has recycling bins in its cinemas so the glasses can be cleaned and repackaged and any damaged ones go to plastic recycling!

Next time you go to these cinemas remember to take your unwanted 3D glasses with you to dispose of recycle to watch the next blockbuster film!
