Filthy Fact

Nearly 60% of the aluminium used in Britain has been previously recycled, that’s a nice fact.

EXTERMINATING WASTE

Posted by Really Rubbish on Friday 7 May at 15:39

DALEK

As part of the NATIONAL COMPOST AWARENESS WEEK which runs from 2nd – 8th May, the children at Millbank Primary School have been busy converting one of Cardiff Council’s standard Compost bins into Dr Who’s Arch enemy, a Dalek to ‘exterminate waste.’

The ‘green gang’ at the school have been upgrading the Dalek everyday during their lunchtime, using recycled materials and imagination. Like many of their plastic sculptures it has not cost anything and should help raise the profile of the benefits of composting at their school and wider community, as well as praticing the 3 'R's!

Well done on a fun and unique great creation for the purpose of Compost Awareness Week!
